Episode Transcription

So Jamie, have you ever watched the show milf manner?

Unknown Speaker  0:03

Of course.

Speaker 1  0:06

They're on season two now. Even though it's really terrible, we continue to watch it. As I was telling you, I'm anxiously awaiting the episode release at 9pm. Tonight. Yes. And there's a funny quote that I wrote down from one of the episodes. So they do little challenges. And on this season, they had the young boy Well, man, but to me, I just call them boys because we're all like, just young and stupid. Yeah. And then they had the MILFs. But in season two, they bring in the boys dads. Yeah, I heard about feeding for the milks, and they had to do a challenge where the males had to decide if the boys or the fathers did a better strip tease you and one of the guys said, Well, we just lost the strip challenge to our fathers.

Speaker 1  1:30

2024 That's what we talk about on TV. And on the nervous laughter podcast. Welcome, Jamie. Welcome. I'm Alyssa. I'm watching some shitty shit on TV.

Speaker 2  1:44

Yeah, get your disco mommy slippers out.

Speaker 1  1:50

I will say it's really not as good as you would think it would be for being called Milk manner, but I still watch it. I've watched mostly like YouTubers bring it and stuff and

Unknown Speaker  2:05

oh man. Yeah. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker  2:10

I think one of the first challenges wasn't it like

Speaker 2  2:14

moms you have to like feel all of the dudes bodies and figure out which one is your son.

Speaker 1  2:21

Sounds familiar. Yeah, they did one on this season where they had basically like glory holes. And the guys had to stick their butts through the buds and in the middle of said to feel the butts and look at the underwear and guess like which guy belong to which underwear?

Speaker 2  2:40

Oh, yeah. I'm disappointed.

Speaker 1  2:45

When they first set it up, and they were saying glory holes. I was like, Holy shit, because with underwear. There was one guy that wore kind of like a Borat style thong. So you got to see the cheeks a lot and somebody bid his butt cheek.

Speaker 2  3:04

Someone bid. Okay, that's just so far. Well, I cool.

Speaker 1  3:10

There's a whole thing on the show. There's this the boy that I think is like, I just do not like him. Like he doesn't have a good personality. And he's the least the least cute of everybody. But he has a thing was biting butts. So he had built this girl's butt. And she thought that was him. So she wanted to bite the butt but it was someone else

Speaker 2  3:37

blinking red like the cheek squeezing right after they bite like I wasn't expecting. Well speaking of of dudes that are that have butts. Yeah, that have butts. I'm going to talk about some other dudes today that have buttes. Oh, um, I think a lot of you guys have probably seen this going around online. It's those like man camps, man boot camp things. So the one I'm going to talk about today is the modern night project or the project for short.

Speaker 1  4:14

So quick question in case the listeners haven't seen those. These are all kind of to like, build up your manliness and your confidence, right? Yeah. And teach you how to be a man Yeah,

Speaker 2  4:28

through like bootcamp style exercises. Okay, and yes, if you've seen the videos, it's like they're like when I saw was like they're on. They're laying on their back on train tracks. So it's like all the gravel and stuff,

Unknown Speaker  4:44

but they're like, back crawling

Speaker 2  4:48

down the track. So without a shirt on and just shorts, so it's like bareback, like going across all the gravel. And do like these ice baths. So there's these men that run the program there that are yelling at them the whole time telling them how like, worthless they are. And that one guy saw he was like, going to, like, get an ice bath. And the guy was like, No, you don't get an ice bath. You don't get an ice bath. But I guess he like maybe couldn't like, legally physically touch them or anything. So the guy is like getting in the bath. Yeah. Like, okay. Um, but yeah, so I'm gonna kind of just do like an over kind of an overview of the website and then a LinkedIn post that

Unknown Speaker  5:34

was someone's experience. It was

Speaker 1  5:36

some of these boys to kiss. I will say that because they just like feel so close to other people's faces and my kiss. Yeah.

Speaker 2  5:44

And that's a popular thing in wrestling do and do three on people's faces. You know, there's always the one person I will do it sometimes too. It's like kiss, but you just so, yeah, at the top of the website, it says, like, attention. The modern day night project is only for entrepreneurs, executives and leaders. Okay, your family deserves the best version of you as a leader, husband and father. Um, it is a 75 hour experience. That seems

Speaker 1  6:19

like a weird number because usually if you're doing like days or day and a half, it ends in an even number, right? Like 36 hours is a day and a half. Yeah, 72 I think is three days. So

Unknown Speaker  6:36

yeah, that's true. That was so weird. Three days and three second

Speaker 2  6:39

hours. Well, they have like a dinner ceremony. So maybe there were like, plus the dinner ceremony. And it says what can I expect during the 75 hour experience and they FAQ and it says expect to be physically challenged. Expect to be mentally exhausted, expect to be a mensch emotionally tested expect to grow in all three areas. And I made a note aren't mental and emotional like the same thing? Oh, that sounds like spike to be mentally exhausted and emotionally tested?

Speaker 1  7:13

Yeah, I feel like maybe the type of men going to this when think of that. So

Unknown Speaker  7:22

I think you can stop a think

Speaker 2  7:29

Is this like a Spartan Race or mud run or military training slash physical fitness only? No, the project is as much mental and educational as it is physical. Yeah, a lot to cram into 75 hours. The project is a personal growth and business development program which business development okay,

Unknown Speaker  7:48

this is a lot for 70 to

Speaker 2  7:50

75 Alyssa 75 The dinner you forgot the dinner. Business Development for men that utilizes physical activity as well as education lessons and journaling to help you experience massive growth in your leadership mindset business. Faith, fitness family and personal drive.

Speaker 1  8:11

Very surprised to hear journaling in there. Yeah, me too.

Speaker 2  8:14

I feel like they don't do like real journaling. I could be very wrong. But I feel like they just do like a man version of journaling. Good. And boobs. Let's watch spikes TV. And so I think the biggest thing with this camp is the pricing of it. Because it is $18,000 Why for that 75 hour weekend. Yes, I

Speaker 1  8:45

got to break this down two hours because that's billowing or cost per hour

Speaker 2  8:51

and it says fucking insane. Yeah, it says but the cost of not experiencing the project and not becoming the leader husband and father. You're meant to be is much more expensive in the long run. Yeah,

Unknown Speaker  9:05

so basically you're losing money.

Speaker 2  9:07

Girl logic, girl Matt,

Speaker 1  9:10

do you want to guess how much that is? per hour? Oh god, I'm

Unknown Speaker  9:14

really stupid. I don't know. Like,

Unknown Speaker  9:15

four $50

Speaker 1  9:18

AB $230 An hour i Holy shit because you said 18000 Right. Yeah. 1800

Speaker 2  9:30

Yeah, one 8000 Yes.

Unknown Speaker  9:34

That is fucking wild.

Unknown Speaker  9:37

And fuck, where is it? Okay, here

Speaker 2  9:40

it is. What is included during the project? Are my airfare room food and transportation. Oh, included. No, your airfare is not included your food room and transportation during the 75 hours of the project are included. Okay, Also included is your graduation dinner in room for the graduation night.

Speaker 1  9:58

Oh, so you had to like fuck your wife and be like, I'm a fucking man now. Yeah. You're wearing your graduation hat like fucking your little,

Unknown Speaker  10:10

little tassels like going for a man now?

Speaker 2  10:18

Oh yeah, that says for the 75 hour period, this includes time in the field time seated learning, eating and sleeping, sleeping will be kept to a minimum. Oh, you know. And so yeah, just to keep going down the website, it says that the next class is October of this year. It says there's 37 spots, but only 15 left. But I was just kind of curious because it said that all the other classes in the past are sold out every single one. So if they're all 37 classes, and they all filled up, it's just kind of weird, because a lot of the videos I saw were like maybe 10 people. A lot of stuff I saw again, just says like, not every person makes it through. So I mean, that could just be a picture of after some guys dropped, but I feel like 37 is definitely a lie. That is

Speaker 1  11:20

if that's true that 37 people sign up at $18,000 Each is $666,000 Oh,

Speaker 2  11:33

yeah, fuck metal. I think we stumbled upon to a

Speaker 1  11:36

conspiracy here. You're right. You're right. Men are the devil. We just proved it. That's what that means.

Speaker 2  11:45

Um, so yeah, so there's only 15 spots left. But I almost feel like maybe there's only 15 spots to begin with. Because I'm very familiar with those marketing techniques of doing that. I've had to do that on a website before and I hated it. Just kind of like lie about like, oh, the tickets are selling fast. And it's like,

Unknown Speaker  12:09

it just gets people to click really fast and not think about it. And there's

Speaker 2  12:17

this little banner that says attention. The modern day night project is only for entrepreneurs, executives and leaders who are ready for a serious breakthrough. This executive experience isn't for anyone who's just starting their self development journey. This is an in depth experience is for men who are seriously ready and tired of making excuses. And yeah, that same little like banners like, paste. Like if you just scroll down the page, you'll keep coming across it. It's in there like seven times because they're like, warning. This is extreme man stuff. Um, so it just talks about how many men are you know, secretly fighting a battle that nobody knows about? And they're suffering in silence.

Unknown Speaker  13:07

I'm kinda like,

Unknown Speaker  13:11

meat Daddy, what's his name? libertine. Oh,

Unknown Speaker  13:17

yeah, kind of like liver King. I mean,

Speaker 2  13:22

everybody pretty much feels that way and has depression and not confident. It's

Unknown Speaker  13:27

different when you're

Speaker 2  13:31

it says, you know that if you flip the switch, you can have a business and a life you've always wanted, it's within grasp and it's just outside of your reach. But if you can just flip the switch that switch you'll have the big breakthrough that you're looking for. And only and only then that you will overcome the self sabotaging behavior that's destroying your relationship and your business. When when you flip the switch, you'll overcome the vise dependencies, limiting beliefs and glass ceilings so that you can become the husband father and man that you respect and admire. So it just I mean, the more I was reading through the website I'm just like wow, this just sounds like a scam all the verbiage that they're using and stuff it's just like you can save my business and my relationships

Unknown Speaker  14:29

yeah

Unknown Speaker  14:32

he's the wouldn't do it can't

Unknown Speaker  14:34

be true.

Speaker 2  14:37

They also have a couple or a few review videos on the site. There's there's more different videos I'll get into those in a minute, but um,

Unknown Speaker  14:46

I cannot wait for that. Yeah, here.

Speaker 2  14:48

I'll just show you a couple of them and let me know what you think.

Speaker 3  14:53

I just wanted to level up to where I was at in every way in my thinking how I felt about myself how I felt about life, work, family, all these other Arias I kind of felt and this really just shitty kind of like mode and I was like, okay, I can be way up here and I had no idea how to do it, I had no idea how to attain it. And all I had, all I could do was think about it, that was the only thing that I was able to do, like at all, we just go Oh, I know, it's possible. And that was it. I'm not a bitch normal life, I didn't think I was like, most of the time i anything i would do, I would always rain like, at the top of near the top, I don't have a problem with fighting this life carrying ship physical work, any kind of stuff like that, I was always like, I've never had a real test. And so I was like, Alright, cool. So in order to even be better, or to grow, like, I have to punch through a level and area that I've never been before. And there was no other thing that was gonna do that for me. Like, I couldn't find anything that was gonna push me and pull me to this area that I needed to get to, in order to just get get the fuck out of my shit. And I had this whiteboard all this shit to do. And I hadn't touched it. And I looked at it, and I swear to God, I couldn't build a fucking house. Like I got everything done, I was looking for shit to do. I was finding other areas that I didn't even know he had helped, helping, like, it was like, it was just go time because everything was just easier to clean house when it came to personal relationships and things that weren't serving me and especially they weren't serving my wife and my family. And like put that to a level. And once I was able to put that level there, it was almost like, okay, everything else that kind of didn't serve me left. And then it's easier to do. The family, the things, the lighting, the things I needed to do.

Speaker 4  16:10

To my wife was concerned, you know, physically, like, you know, she could, but what she said to me was like, I know, you're not going to ring the bell, even when maybe you should, you know, for whatever reason, I mean, they're coming back a bitch, a beast or in a body bag. And that's it kind of came to the realization that as you get older, it's like, what's the next 10 years gonna look like, you know, if I keep doing what I'm doing. Physically, you know, when you get older, it's like you spent a little bit more time on the couch, reading the paper, not physically active. So the whole journey kind of began when I wanted to make a change. No matter what you're confronted with in life, whether it's on the personal side or in business, I can pick up the phone, I can call one of 60 Guys, whatever, you know, of our of our group and get help get some counsel from people, you know, that understand me? And, and are freaking, you know, freaking savages. I think I came into the project with this idea. It's like, I'm just not quitting. Not gonna quit. It's just not an option for me. So whatever comes is gonna come and I'll deal with it, but it's just never an option. So

Unknown Speaker  17:11

what do you think about those brave men? Alyssa?

Speaker 1  17:16

I don't really know if I have words. I like the data that was like me they're coming back a bit. A beast or in a body? Like who wrote this? Yeah,

Speaker 2  17:30

some of the some of the stuff was just like, you guys got some, like, not very good actors for this. I don't know. Maybe they're just, they're just men that were told what to say. Yeah,

Speaker 1  17:44

I felt like they all got a script because all of them kind of use some edgy talk. You know, like that first guy that's like, has a lot of shit to do. Yeah,

Speaker 2  17:53

it's a very, like aggressive pitch.

Speaker 1  17:56

Yeah, there's not a guy that's like, oh, yeah, this really helped me um, something you know, double a mellow guy. They're all just made me a man.

Unknown Speaker  18:06

I was already man but this made me budget fucking

Speaker 2  18:11

so much. That'd be so funny if that was a claim they made like my dick grew half

Unknown Speaker  18:19

three quarters of an inch.

Speaker 2  18:21

Yeah, and the visual during that it was almost like just like a you know, two dudes on a podcast kind of set up and then they just were showing clips of like, a guy getting sprayed in the face. Which seems like a really intense waterboarding for dudes covered in mud, like holding a log. Just you know, this man things? Also

Speaker 1  18:46

I'm like, Okay, were there no overweight men that wanted to do this? They're all like supermodel type like built and they're all white when you apply there

Speaker 2  18:58

so when you apply you have to put like your name, email and phone number and they do a call interview.

Unknown Speaker  19:07

Oh my God.

Speaker 2  19:09

GEORGE voicemail do and then see oh my god and then we'll get and be like you didn't think a girl could do? Like Legally Blonde that shit. Oh,

Speaker 1  19:18

yeah. We just need to raise $18,000 Yeah,

Speaker 2  19:22

there's the small. The small fee I forgot about. Which, if you there pitching so much of this as like a family angle. If you have a family and you're spending $18,000 on shit like this. You're just a bad dad and a bad place

Speaker 1  19:42

to be so fucking wealthy for that to be like pocket change. Like what

Unknown Speaker  19:48

the fuck? It's just It's

Speaker 2  19:50

God so stupid. Which made me think like, I was like shit, is this a pyramid scheme because that guy was like, sounds kind of weird. Have a network of like 80 or however many men I can call in like, but I kind of looked around I, I don't think it's like a pyramid scheme, obviously, it's like pretty scammy and stupid. Um, but it almost feels like a frat. Yeah, that's like a fee to get in. Like, it's just, I guess guys need that

Speaker 2  20:27

so if you scroll down the website more, it says how you'll flip the switch in your life and business. The modern day night project is 75 hour personal growth experience for men who want to live a life filled with fulfillment, purpose, financial freedom, and have a deep loving relationship with their family. And I'm just I'm continuously just confused on how like the financial stuff is rolled into this like

Unknown Speaker  20:56

75 hour physical labor thing, maybe

Speaker 1  21:02

they just get them all there and then Andrew Tate is there to sell hustlers University. And that's the all the financial advice.

Speaker 2  21:12

When you talk about him again soon, he's such a stupid idiot.

Unknown Speaker  21:17

And so then it kind of

Unknown Speaker  21:20

pitches this, quote, 75

Unknown Speaker  21:23

hour crucible

Speaker 2  21:28

that says, three experiences one of the toughest physical and mental challenges you experience. And it's designed to help you shatter your self doubt and limiting beliefs. gain clarity and your life's work and purpose. heal from trauma that makes you feel broken and unworthy. Deep into your past experience of flutter, holding you back from achieving greater levels of success in your life.

Speaker 1  21:57

So it takes 7 billion hours not 75

Speaker 2  22:04

Ah, yeah, so these guys are kind of just shortcutting trying to fix trauma and emotional issues through your man. Hey,

Unknown Speaker  22:16

my mom anymore.

Unknown Speaker  22:20

Um, I will say on a

Speaker 2  22:22

just a small side note, it is a little sad to see that this is just what men has. Society has just pushed men to become and believe.

Unknown Speaker  22:35

Funny. Haha, stupid men.

Speaker 1  22:37

Yeah, if you're a dude, and you're playing into this bullshit and

Unknown Speaker  22:42

spending $18,000 I'm gonna laugh at you

Speaker 1  22:46

Wii the Wii a cycle breaker and don't pass this on to your fucking son that they keep referencing like, now. Yeah, real therapy play is

Unknown Speaker  23:01

no I completely agree.

Speaker 2  23:06

It doesn't imagine they're like all sudden they're doing main exercises and then one just starts crying. And then they just like swarm around like what's it called though? That movie with that? Bear that catches on fire. I can't remember. It's like hereditary, and they all just start crying around the one guy.

Unknown Speaker  23:27

Oh, midsummer Yeah.

Speaker 2  23:33

When you complete the modern day night project, you will have finally destroyed the old version of yourself and engineer the new 2.0 version of the man that you want to become old

Unknown Speaker  23:43

Jeff is fucking dead.

Unknown Speaker  23:47

Meet new sexy Gen.

Speaker 2  23:51

So you will flip the switch. And okay, so they keep saying flip the switch. And I just want to point out it's funny to the URL is like the whatever night project.com/flip-the-script flip switch that flipped the switch. So you'll flip the switch into your higher self so you can become a purpose driven and higher performing leader a man who is congruent with core his core values. already talked about the signup. And then it introduces the instructors and there's Bedros cool Ian. He's the founder. He also founded some like boot camp and I guess he has like a podcast where he is quote, teaching entrepreneurs how to build empires and create legacies. And what

Unknown Speaker  24:47

we do here on this bug,

Unknown Speaker  24:49

I mean, honestly, yes.

Speaker 2  24:53

But what's so we'll start at $18,000 workshop soon. Yeah. He also authored a book called Man Up how to cut the bullshit and kick ass in business in real life. Not to be confused with the main up lifestyle. But we went to, because at first I was like, Holy shit, is this tied together? But, but I don't I don't think it is. And from the description of that book on Amazon, I found it just is talking about him. And it says, He's the founder and CEO of Fit Body Boot Camp and known as the, quote, hidden genius, unquote, behind many of the most successful brands and businesses throughout multiple industries. I'm very vague. So yeah, he, they're just like,

Unknown Speaker  25:48

Okay, this guy's not hidden, hidden genius, I'm sorry.

Unknown Speaker  25:54

The brands and businesses

Unknown Speaker  25:57

might not be fake

Speaker 2  26:00

brands and businesses that we've probably never heard of, or that it's like probably just his own businesses and brands that he just like, made himself. He also, so he created this program with the sole intent of using the 75 our experience as a way not only to help men step up to the highest version of themselves, but as a rite of passage and to the elite brotherhood of modern day knights. Like what? I need some red flags.

Speaker 1  26:33

Have you seen those videos? That's like the red flag guy?

Speaker 2  26:36

Oh, yeah. He's just running like with Yeah, with the big flag? Yeah.

Speaker 1  26:40

The Brotherhood the night thing. This sounds very, like it could be a hate group.

Unknown Speaker  26:46

Yeah, sounds like it could lead that way.

Unknown Speaker  26:51

Oh, my God. And when

Unknown Speaker  26:53

I think of brotherhood, I just think of

Speaker 2  26:57

in Skyrim, there's some kind of like brotherhood of whatever, when they do bad stuff. So I don't know. All I think about is, they're just doing shady shit. And then there's Steve Eckert who was the co founder, he's a US Marine. And he found some other kind of immersive, experienced turn businesses, employees until high performers or whatever. But it also says,

Unknown Speaker  27:28

Jamie's just like League of air quotes for everything.

Unknown Speaker  27:31

She says, roll my eyes, because I feel like

Speaker 2  27:35

I guess what I've kind of learned is like, I feel like if a woman wrote a resume and a man wrote on resume, like, a man's resume is going to be like, so it's going to sound more self fulfilling. I feel like though a woman's because I feel like a man is going to do Sorry, I sound sexist right now. But it's just like, they'll do something minor. And they'll know and they'll be like, I lead this. Yeah, this is like, No, dude. But pick up the trash.

Unknown Speaker  28:11

And it was like project management of

Unknown Speaker  28:15

waste in organizing

Speaker 2  28:17

the deliveries. And, um,

Unknown Speaker  28:20

no, I definitely agree. Yeah.

Speaker 2  28:23

I mean, I guess I say I've learned that because yeah, like, statistically, women are very less likely to be like I accomplished. So we're

Speaker 1  28:33

socialized to like, downplay everything. Which is not good. But also, I feel like this is not good, where all these dudes are like, I'm so hyped up.

Unknown Speaker  28:47

Let's just meet in the middle.

Speaker 2  28:51

And like, I think Chelsea Peretti is the comedian I'm thinking of, but she's like, she's like, Man, I wonder what it's like to be a dude. You know, you just wake up and it's like, people want to listen to what I have to say. Just like, Yeah, it's funny, because I feel like when I catch people listening to me,

Unknown Speaker  29:13

I feel caught off guard, like, Oh,

Unknown Speaker  29:15

you're so listening to me. And you're like, I know that. So, Steve,

Speaker 2  29:24

is also would you like to guess the name that you gave him? Or like his cool nickname? Yeah, it's like a phrase. It's not like a one name. Steve.

Speaker 1  29:34

The hammer. Johnson. Hey, that's,

Speaker 2  29:38

I think that's a good guess. And he is the the facilitator of suffering. SURE that you will earn your spot inside the brotherhood.

Unknown Speaker  29:51

I can't roll my eyes hard enough.

Unknown Speaker  29:55

So funny. Around You

Speaker 2  30:00

Ah, um, they also, you know, have some other dudes on there that are like ex Marines and stuff that are there to yell at you. Um, and then after you see the staff on the page, it's now here's how you can get your wife on board. And booking wife

Speaker 1  30:26

is always a problem, gentleman, and I'll

Speaker 2  30:29

show you a couple videos. It's three videos, the last one was 40 minutes long, and I am not watching a fucking 40 minute like podcasts, scripted interview. And watching the videos, I was like, Oh my God, these are definitely fucking actresses, no one fucking talks about their husband like this. Like,

Speaker 1  30:50

I really cannot wait to see my husband live up to his full potential in family in business. And also within our marriage. That's pretty

Speaker 2  31:02

much what it sounds like. And it just if men think women are like this, then I don't know, they like need to learn life. Um, but yeah, here's these

Unknown Speaker  31:20

actresses

Unknown Speaker  31:22

talking about their husbands.

Speaker 5  31:26

Even at the beginning, I knew that he could do it, I had no doubt in my mind that it would be something that would grow him and challenge him and change him for the better. One of the things I've seen, since I'm coming back is the way he encourages our daughters to push to even go around the neighborhood on their bikes, attack this, attack the hill, we're going to attack this, we're going to do it, we're going to conquer it, we're going to do well with it. And so seeing their competence bill, because the competency had in them, because of the competencies he's had in himself. Like that's been incredible to see, our family even just in one year has benefited mentally, socially, physically, spiritually, from the experience I've been had during the 75 hours. And, and that's just a year like it's still continuing, there's still classes going through, they're still guys that Ben gets support and to and to encourage and motivates. Even from the East Coast, he's able to have a connection with guys who are about to experience an incredibly life changing events. That's something we've learned in our own in our own marriage struggles, and the marriage counseling and seminars and things that we've done is that you can't affect change around you unless you work on yourself. Because you're only responsible for yourself. And so if your husband wants to go better himself, let him Let him do that. Because that's going to affect your marriage, it's going to affect your children, it's gonna affect your family as a unit, it's going to affect your neighbors and your friends and extended family. For years, it's not just going to be come home, I'm going to recover from my bumps and bruises and move on with life. It's it's a mental change. It's it's just the foundation like it's building a better foundation for for a lifetime.

Speaker 6  33:18

I believe so much in the project. And in you, you instructors, that I would never say no, if he asked me to go and give back to you guys, or to connect with you guys, I would never say no, at this point, it's given way too much to my family, the project means a lot to us, I thought for him like this is going to be awesome. Like, if anything, it's going to push them to show him how strong he is mentally and physically. And hopefully that will bring him back confidence. I didn't realize it was going to bring back a whole new person almost, you know, new and improved person. And facets of all those areas that you spoke about. I mean have gone to like a level 10 You know, since you came back in the project, we've had date night, every week, we made it a priority to make time for us, you know, with our kids, like in my son's three, my daughter's two. But we've already started implementing stuff that he learned from the project with our kids. And you know, they're little so obviously we scale it down for them. But we already are implementing stuff that they need to learn, you know, how to treat people how to speak to people how to act, you know, how to be confident, you know, and at work, he is a leader and he speaks like a leader and he isn't, you know, like shy or he's not like a mean aggressive guy. He's not aggressive but he's very well spoken and now he's not afraid to speak since he's been doing that he's like, skyrocketed at work. It's It's insane. I would pay for the project double for him to go back for him to get everything that he has gone just in this year out of it. And who's what he's going to continue to get out of pay double.

Speaker 2  34:54

All right, so what did you What do you think about the wives? Um,

Speaker 1  34:59

they were interesting. They were both very excited for their husbands to spend $18,000

Speaker 2  35:08

so much. So one would spin pay double double, but it almost seems like she's like, I'll pay $10,000 for you to fucking leave me alone for a week. True. And also, I'm just gonna say, hearing the way everybody talks about it kind of because the guys are like, I don't know, it almost feels like the underground gay road. They have a secret network of like, it.

Unknown Speaker  35:39

It sounds weird. Or

Speaker 2  35:41

maybe I'm, I'm sorry. I know, that's a weird assumption to jump to. But

Unknown Speaker  35:44

they're just like,

Speaker 2  35:47

we need other men and like, Man support and I

Speaker 1  35:51

feel like we need to hug each other. Considering all of this, that would maybe be a best case scenario.

Speaker 2  35:59

Yeah, and then in which case, why hide it? Yeah. Just

Unknown Speaker  36:08

think about it.

Speaker 1  36:11

Don't get it like the one lady had the angle of like, ladies, like if you're if your husband wants to better himself, let him and I'm like, Absolutely, yes. Yeah. 10,000%. But I feel like there are a lot of free resources to do that. Yeah, or a little more

Unknown Speaker  36:29

science backed science by

Unknown Speaker  36:33

search budget conscious.

Speaker 1  36:37

I feel like that's a pretty huge fucking Gamble's Yeah, that much money, you

Speaker 2  36:42

can find a railroad anywhere and crawl on your back there. If you want, throw

Speaker 1  36:48

down some broken glass roll around in it roll on your back.

Speaker 2  36:52

And I think one thing I watched said that because it's like, if you look at the video of like, where they're at, sometimes it looks like they're just like, you know, in a parking lot of places. So it's tough. But they do have like a compound or whatever. They call it Lush. But you pointed out that the video said like 004 project or whatever. So they do have a I think that might have been like an episode because they do have a wives podcast, which I did not check out. But they have

Unknown Speaker  37:34

their episode. Yeah, I

Speaker 2  37:36

see what's just paying women to come on and say whatever they pay them to say. And my

Speaker 1  37:44

husband can do this for free if y'all want to say some trip for us. And

Speaker 2  37:49

they keep coming. The two videos I showed you, they have like the kidding, little two they're like, and he was just able to like, teach our kids everything they need to know. And like, I'll give them motivation to do stuff. And it's just like that you fucking yell at them like a drill sergeant. Like that's what he's getting there. I don't understand

Unknown Speaker  38:09

the vibe I'm getting.

Speaker 2  38:14

Just to cover a couple other little things that I pulled out of the FAQ. One of the questions was like, Oh, do you have to be an athlete or something already? And it says no, you don't need to be an athlete. However you do need to be conditioned to do hikes. bear crawls, Team log carries truck pulls, jogs, push ups and a variety of other bodyweight exercises. When you're accepted into the class, our instructions will help you build up your physical conditioning through training programs designed to help you get project ready. So they're like whoa, have to be in shape, but you kind of have to be in shape like, like, they go from saying no, you don't need to be an athlete and then it's like you have to carry fucking logs and

Speaker 1  38:56

you have to pull a car. Yeah, this proves my thing of like no fatties allowed. It looks like Yeah, I mean, not that you can't be overweight and be like fit but I mean, I feel like from the image they're projecting it's like they would not want that. They're all the dudes look the same. Yeah, they're

Speaker 2  39:14

tailoring the classes that they get. I think they're looking for a very specific look.

Unknown Speaker  39:20

I'm the proud boy look.

Speaker 2  39:27

Yeah, the project has held that a compound in California equipped with a fitness center sleeping quarters in the Learning Center

Speaker 1  39:34

are the folks that I need the fitness center if they're going to be like rolling in the gravel and climbing mountains and all that shit. I used to working out the whole time. Good point.

Speaker 2  39:45

I think so pretty much in the LinkedIn posts I get to later might have a little more information on that. Okay, I

Unknown Speaker  39:51

forgot about that. I'm excited.

Speaker 2  39:55

And then it says I don't care what kind of past you've had. It doesn't matter what abuse addiction or hardship you've experienced in life. Oh, what matters to me is that you are here now. Picture. Oh, sorry, description of a picture on the website. They have a picture. I'm assuming this is like a graduating class. But it's a bunch of white, older dudes holding axes and they're all wearing suits. And it's actually pretty terrifying. It's kind of like What's that movie where people can kill for with no repercussions? Yeah, so here let me show you it

Unknown Speaker  40:43

Yeah, terrifying.

Speaker 2  40:47

Yeah, it's very scary. They're all just like,

Unknown Speaker  40:51

that looks like a cult. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker  40:52

Um, it's a very creepy picture.

Speaker 2  40:57

They're all holding axes, which I'm going to assume as they're like little graduating trophy.

Speaker 1  41:06

X with your name on the handle?

Unknown Speaker  41:09

It's like their own Cabbage Patch but like it's Rachel

Speaker 2  41:20

you'll use the 75 Our God they say that so many times

Speaker 1  41:24

75 I want to know why. Hey, odd numbers.

Speaker 2  41:31

It will help you break through the bullshit and flip the switch on your life. So right now, you have two choices as I see it. You can continue to suffer in silence numbing yourself with vices and white knuckling through life or you can decide to live life with purpose, passion, and profits. You see? The triple B quadruple P painter and layer Oh yes, painters profits. You see once I flipped the switch in my life, everything change for me and I've never looked back into now it's your turn to flip the switch. I look forward to welcoming welcoming you to the brotherhood and then it's signed by him that's a call it does sound pretty fucking cool to have

Unknown Speaker  42:27

saying brother

Unknown Speaker  42:30

is very negative connotation. I'm

Unknown Speaker  42:32

gonna kind of jump into just putting this under the coal umbrella.

Speaker 1  42:36

It's very cold adjacent.

Speaker 2  42:39

Yeah. And there was a scene there copyright statement at the bottom. Like every website has. I just found it very funny. Usually people will kind of like copy and paste just kind of the generic thing but the kind of like wrote their own. And the second part of it is so fucking bloomery I think you're gonna love it. So it says nothing on this page. Any of our websites or any of our content is or curriculum is a promise or guarantee of results or future earnings and we do not offer any legal medical tax or other professional advice. You alone are responsible and accountable for your decisions, actions and results in your life. And by your registration here. Speaker 1  43:38

I know you said results but it sounded like you said assaults

Unknown Speaker  43:44

I feel like it's more fitting

Speaker 2  43:45

that in there too. Yeah. Well, but um I don't

Speaker 1  43:51

know No, no, you go Yeah. Because I do not give Facebook permission is my photos that is

Unknown Speaker  43:58

literally the next thing.

Speaker 2  44:01

Site is not a part of the Facebook website or Facebook, Inc. Additionally, this site is not endorsed by Facebook in any way. Facebook is a trademark of Facebook Inc. What? This is completely separate fucking website from Facebook. You don't even have to mention Facebook on here. Like this is the funniest fucking like copyright that I've seen at the bottom of the website ever. Wow. God, it's so fucking funny.

Unknown Speaker  44:31

I can't believe I guess.

Speaker 2  44:37

No caps, y'all Facebook is at least. But yeah, there's parts of it that are like, Oh, capitalism. All caps and not. So yeah, so I loved that.

Speaker 1  44:52

Maybe one of the men that wanted to do the course was like, okay, but I hate Facebook. Concerned about Privacy.

Speaker 2  45:01

They'd probably just like had a picture on Facebook and then one of their Boomer people complained. I didn't give Facebook rights to my picture, Facebook, take

Unknown Speaker  45:13

it down.

Speaker 2  45:17

And just going to kind of briefly talk about some stuff from a USA Today article that Rob had sent us on the discord. Thanks, Rob. A lot of these are just gonna be quotes from the article. Though psychologists aren't sold on boot camps as a solution, they say what they say the prevalence of man camps in general, points to a real problem men are facing loneliness. And a 2021 survey by the Survey Center on American life, only 21% of men said they received emotional support from a friend within the past week compared to 41% of women. Just 25% of men said they told a friend they loved them within the past week, as opposed to 49% of women. I

Unknown Speaker  46:10

feel like both of those numbers seem really high.

Speaker 2  46:15

I don't know how many people are here telling their friends that they love them. Not that I don't love my friends, but I'm not actively Yeah, I guess it wouldn't be or

Speaker 1  46:27

it's not super weird. Like friends say that to me or if I were to say that to them, but I feel like that seems so high for like a week. Yeah, like that many in the week times but

Unknown Speaker  46:42

like frequent Yeah,

Speaker 1  46:43

I mean, I've I don't know that just seems weird. I feel like that would be more of something that you would talk about with like a spouse or like someone he saw more frequently like not everyone even sees their friends once a week you know or

Speaker 2  46:59

see what the survey question on that was like was it like, how often to say I love you to your friends. It's like every day once a week, once a year. People are like wow, I mean a week a lot of men are lonely because they lack the ability to put emotions into words which makes it hard for them to form relationships llevant said which was the psychologist or whatever they talk to you the inability to put their emotions into words leads to failures in relationships leads to loneliness leads to their seeking out these experiences main camps offer I just love the term main camps. They offer an opportunity for men to bond with other men and that isn't necessarily a bad thing especially since these programs make mental health a priority and I put on so it's like it's like a man way of make friends it's actually kind of cute.

Unknown Speaker  48:03

One time it man can we can

Speaker 1  48:11

like I wouldn't no way criticize this if it was more normal. Like if this was some normal dudes that wanted to get together Yeah, that's fine I'm working on but it's just so toxic masculinity and like scammy

Speaker 2  48:27

that's where the problem with it is. It's the price it's the approach it's it's everything everyone looks

Unknown Speaker  48:35

the same they use the word brotherhood.

Unknown Speaker  48:39

Well, no, it feels bad.

Unknown Speaker  48:41

Yes, very

Unknown Speaker  48:42

bad.

Speaker 2  48:44

I wouldn't feel comfortable if I was the only woman there let's put it that way. Oh

Unknown Speaker  48:48

my gosh.

Speaker 1  48:51

I'd be like hey, we're the fucking access from that picture. Maybe they carry one give me all your access now. I need it for safety.

Speaker 2  49:02

So there's another intensive boot camp called activate your alpha

Unknown Speaker  49:09

more camp

Speaker 2  49:13

and stuff. And it says that it it focuses more on like the mental well being and stuff so that psychologists was like yeah, that's pretty fine. They're pretty fine. There has to be a deep emotional and psychological work that goes with it. He says otherwise, it just becomes an exercise in mental fortitude. Which only gets you so far as to get further like I can wykel white knuckle this even harder and just Yeah, so it's like they're further ignoring him even harder. Makes sense. Overall, Anderson says main camps show society needs to do more to address men's emotional and mental health live. We leave and adds the it when men give voice to their feelings their relationships tend to improve. So just fucking

Unknown Speaker  50:09

be a person I guess I don't know. Yeah.

Speaker 2  50:13

So I didn't want to like overshadow I guess what that psychologist was talking about by making fun of these main camps but he also agrees that some of these are veiled way fucking off base and ridiculous so I think it's okay for us to lol at the CHE yeah if this was someone

Speaker 1  50:31

genuinely trying Oh, this feels just it feels weird. Yeah, I don't know what else to say like I did the labs are off yeah, yeah, the

Speaker 2  50:43

vibes are way off and I didn't look into the other camp that that guy mentioned. But I mean it sounds like that one's more okay.

Speaker 1  50:51

And I will also say though, that if there was a camp that was like, womanhood, like we're focusing on what it means to be a woman and how to be a mother and like stereotypes of that. I feel like that would be harmful as well. So not good on men. It's just this feels very, like, stereotypical and like, not good.

Speaker 2  51:21

Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Talks. I feel like it falls under the toxic masculinity. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker  51:30

But, yeah,

Speaker 2  51:32

I guess there's also like, toxic femininity or whatever. Like, there's very I can't fit Yeah, feminist. There's some very toxic feminists.

Speaker 1  51:41

But one thing that I was thinking of is Have you heard of Trad wives?

Speaker 2  51:45

It's sure all those like traditional Yeah,

Speaker 1  51:49

I want to get together some stuff on them because some of that stuff is fucking weird. Oh, yeah, I

Speaker 2  51:56

was thinking it might be funny, because I've seen a lot of those videos where what's like, I guess one of those wives that are like I'm a feminist. Or she says I'm not a feminist. I can actually cook and then all the women are like, I'm a feminist. Watch me cook and she's like, in space and fighting for like, sex assault, right? Like walls and stuff. And it's like, yeah, women gonna be funny if we did want to, but oh yeah, I feel like it'd be like we're women. Watch us cook. And we're like, on podcast mics and then like,

Unknown Speaker  52:33

doing just

Unknown Speaker  52:40

you're like fixing Jacqueline's hair

Unknown Speaker  52:47

basic shit.

Speaker 2  52:49

So the last thing I have is a LinkedIn post I found where someone talked about their experience the joys

Unknown Speaker  52:54

of alpha cam,

Speaker 2  52:56

and his name is Jimmy Rex. Jimmy Rex. Okay, and he's got a backwards baseball hat ominous picture.

Unknown Speaker  53:04

Wow, shocking. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker  53:08

So this from 2022.

Speaker 1  53:13

That's what I learned. That's what I learned with the belt is out, started out right.

Speaker 2  53:20

I had a crazy experience that taught me many great lessons the past few days. So I so I want to share with you. About two months ago, I was speaking in California and I was able to connect with Bedros cool Ian, another one of the speakers, he runs an event called the modern Date Night Project. That is essentially a reenactment of hell week for Navy SEAL training. This year, one of the one of my big goals is to do for events that pushed me past where I am comfortable. I thought this sounded like fun, like a fun event to start with. I was still in decent shape from my from the fall, I got into whatever, blah, blah. So whatever. He's talking about how he was in decent shape. And he says, I didn't realize until I did the event that I would have needed to be in the best shape of my life to complete oh my god, you don't have to be an athlete. Remember? I learned so many things in such a short amount of time so I want to share them with you. We started Tuesday at 1pm and here's how it went. 1pm Fitness Test, one mile run 100 Push Ups 100 Scott squat thrust 100 Crawl outs and another mile run all under 75 minutes. This is the easiest part of the day.

Unknown Speaker  54:35

Next, to be kicked out.

Speaker 2  54:39

Can I just go home. Next we loaded up a big backpack and a 10 pound sledge hammer and headed off on foot trail run up and down mountains and hills for an hour. When we got to the end of the hike, we began climbing the bear and bear crawling and stomach crawling up a mountain for now. books, which I think I've also seen videos of them like crawling up a mountain and then they're just being like sprayed from the top or something. It's in there getting like pushed back down. It's so stupid. Then we did a trial run back, or trail run back at this point, I felt a sharp pain in my right knee. And I knew I was in trouble.

Unknown Speaker  55:23

And of course he doesn't stop when

Speaker 2  55:24

we know that we'd be gay. Yeah, I wouldn't be are you? Are you even a man? When we got back to the compound, we were introduced to the pit. This thing is a dirt field full of rocks shards of shards of cement,

Unknown Speaker  55:43

Brainerd shards there's probably sharp

Unknown Speaker  55:49

sharp myself if I was doing some of this

Speaker 2  55:52

will ask for inches so they probably have like shard the short trenches. And of course, like I mentioned the railroad tracks. It's about 50 yards across and point six miles long. We spent the next several hours doing gassers running sprints. I don't know what that is. Do you know what gassers are

Unknown Speaker  56:12

those gonna ask you?

Speaker 2  56:13

I don't know either. gassers running sprints across it mixed in with stomach crawls crawling on her back and bear crawling across it. It was also raining the whole time. Oddly cold for California. Somebody said it was 39 to 45 degrees the entire night. Gentleman

Speaker 1  56:31

just so you're aware it's 39 to 45 degrees right now.

Unknown Speaker  56:39

This is the same as the weird this is the range

Speaker 2  56:42

that they get on a foghorn gentleman. This is the temperature I mean men are into weather right so like, they're probably on they're like doing like an hourly like weather update.

Unknown Speaker  56:52

It's like Whoa, my

Unknown Speaker  56:55

my app says 49

Unknown Speaker  57:01

Um, after

Speaker 2  57:02

that, we had an hour in the classroom where we had a dry pair of shorts and a shirt to put on no dangle out. See that's what I'm saying is they're fucking doing gay shit. I don't mean to sound like a boomer but I'm saying like they're exploring things. We don't know that they're,

Speaker 1  57:25

I hope that they are rather than toxic masculinity. Like, yeah.

Unknown Speaker  57:33

So where was I?

Speaker 1  57:35

Sorry, I just was like, underwear. Oh, no,

Speaker 2  57:38

you're fine. I just, I just lost my by page.

Unknown Speaker  57:43

We then went

Speaker 2  57:50

we then went in and jousted each other for about an hour

Unknown Speaker  58:00

Yeah, which used to be

Speaker 2  58:01

a term me and my friends used to say for like, jousting with your dicks. That was a joke. So funny to me.

Unknown Speaker  58:13

I got my bell rung pretty good once.

Speaker 2  58:16

That was the most fun part of the night. Although exhausting, then we assumed the night would get easier and maybe we would get some food. But instead, it was back to the pit.

Unknown Speaker  58:30

No food only chars.

Speaker 2  58:33

This was especially bad because it had begun to pour rain again. So they had us just put on our wet muddy cold clothes back on. At

Unknown Speaker  58:44

this point, I might change boys.

Speaker 2  58:48

They're all just like in the same room and I just imagined they like pull cameras out. Time to change.

Unknown Speaker  58:57

At this point,

Unknown Speaker  58:58

my knee got tight, having been sitting around

Unknown Speaker  59:00

forgot about the knee.

Speaker 2  59:04

And I knew I would have some issues. We started to stomach crawl again. And after about an hour of not being able to bend my leg out. Terrifying.

Unknown Speaker  59:15

I knew it was time to tap out.

Speaker 2  59:18

pain in my knee was all I needed to know that I wouldn't want to hurt myself any worse.

Unknown Speaker  59:23

You're gonna look like a bitch though.

Speaker 2  59:24

I know. I know. He's He's going back a bitch or in a body bag. He's

Unknown Speaker  59:29

not. He's choosing a bit true.

Speaker 2  59:33

It was just after 1am the total experience for me was 12 hours. I've had a full day to complete the experience now and I'm trying to decide what to make of it all. I have had a lot of thoughts and here are some of them. Number one, I had absolutely no business trying to do this event. Okay, five years ago I ran a marathon was no training and I suffered from it for the following week but I push through the pain for five hours and nine minutes. This was not the same humblebrag was the I couldn't keep pushing, because it was a 75 hour event and the body needs to repair. I didn't train as I needed to. And I paid the price. The classical example of not being prepared. I mean it sounds really intense I don't blame like people getting injured. Yeah, I mean it's a lot of stuff going on

Speaker 2  1:00:44

oh my god I'm okay No. Small weird and well, I got to Burt.

Unknown Speaker  1:00:54

Engineer like

Unknown Speaker  1:01:01

like The Exorcist.

Unknown Speaker  1:01:05

Okay, sorry. Do you blow by knows that Oh, no,

Unknown Speaker  1:01:07

you're totally good.

Speaker 2  1:01:08

Okay, we're back. I just got totally, totally rights by swallowing something we

Unknown Speaker  1:01:16

live. Oh, yeah,

Unknown Speaker  1:01:18

my eyes are watering and I'm okay. I'm okay.

Unknown Speaker  1:01:24

Has for this.

Unknown Speaker  1:01:27

Work on Yeah, this

Unknown Speaker  1:01:28

is this is our man camp.

Speaker 2  1:01:33

Okay, so number two. Sometimes in life, we have to try things to know what we want and don't want in our lives.

Unknown Speaker  1:01:52

It's okay, I hope about stroking out. Okay. I've asked, I've often

Speaker 2  1:01:59

questioned if I shouldn't have gone to the military route. And after doing this event, I have never been so sure

Unknown Speaker  1:02:09

that I did my life exactly the way I should

Speaker 2  1:02:14

have even known that without putting myself out there for this event. I mean, I'm not saying boot camp is easy. But he was saying this supposed to be a replica of like Navy SEAL Hell Week. So this is not the same as normal. Number three, I have never been more grateful for the men and women of the military. And what they go through for the rest of us what I was suffering through for, for that one night. I imagined the soldiers in Vietnam World War Two. And all the others was much worse. For years at times. I remember hearing stories about the Civil War soldiers not having shoes in the winter. I can't imagine I just honored them. Which side do you honor?

Speaker 1  1:03:04

That's a great and World War Two. It's a great question.

Unknown Speaker  1:03:10

How are you liking?

Speaker 2  1:03:13

It's essential to have a big why outside number four, it's essential to have a big why with everything you do. In this case, my why was simply to have a cool experience and see what it was like that was it. And so cool. That was why I didn't train properly. I didn't have a big enough why. So ultimately, I failed. Oh,

Speaker 1  1:03:33

so it's his fault. And he's admitting it.

Unknown Speaker  1:03:38

What a man he's learning how to be a really.

Speaker 2  1:03:41

Number five, it's important to listen to your body. And sometimes you have to get to get your ego out of the way, which I totally agree with. Don't fuck your knee up. I told myself before I went, that I could quit No, I wouldn't quit no matter what I know myself. I know I can push through a lot of pain. I was I was sitting there, I realized that I had to think that permanent damage to my body to my knee. Just to prove I was main enough to push through. This was going to be a decision I would regret for the rest of my life. It wasn't worth getting injured any worse. So I majorly agree with that point. Don't push her body past what it can do because that's could fuck you have life lasting decisions. Like I have two, one ACL repaired and my other ACL is partially torn. I can never have full ACLs on my life again. Oh, but I'm okay with that. Yeah,

Speaker 1  1:04:44

before I forget, I don't know what science this is backed by and I haven't fact checked it. But I saw a thing that said that women are more prone to ACL tears. I think it was like the A week before their period, or maybe the week of Oh, interesting. So something to look up. I don't know,

Speaker 2  1:05:07

I didn't really think about that about how like, your period would affect, like your exercising and stuff. That's really good to keep in mind. Maybe I should have went to school for

Unknown Speaker  1:05:20

exercise things, but I just

Speaker 1  1:05:22

like see stuff on tick tock, Instagram, and then I fact check it. And sometimes it's true. Sometimes.

Speaker 2  1:05:31

Yeah, I didn't, I didn't really care about any of that stuff until I started doing aerial and parkour. And then I was like, Oh, I think I care about my body. So the last part of his post says, I don't think I've done it justice about how difficult this event was. This was the 12th session of men. And on the fifth session, a guy actually died, which was I didn't know about, and I left this to be a surprise for myself. So that is a surprise to me. And I did not look into someone dying at this event. Wow. Okay. What maybe, after I'm done with this, Willa, will pause and then come back and see if we have an update for that. So fifth session, a guy actually died? They

Unknown Speaker  1:06:21

have a mum? Oh, oh, no,

Speaker 2  1:06:25

they have a memorial axe and his honor hung up in the classroom. Oh,

Unknown Speaker  1:06:28

God.

Unknown Speaker  1:06:32

Man, that's really sad if someone actually died.

Unknown Speaker  1:06:36

Oh, and also to speak to mention.

Speaker 2  1:06:40

I skipped this in the notes when I was going over it. But there are no refunds,

Unknown Speaker  1:06:47

even if you do, because

Speaker 2  1:06:49

one of the questions was like, What if I can't make the event? Because one was like, what if I have to reschedule? Like, what if I can't do it? It was like, it was like, Yeah, you don't get a refund. But you could maybe get credits towards their products that they have, which like 18,000

Unknown Speaker  1:07:08

he get a bunch of axes.

Speaker 2  1:07:10

And so yeah, I imagine that they probably did not refund this man's family. But that's just an assumption. I'm just talking out of my ass here. But yeah,

Speaker 1  1:07:20

I mean, I feel like it's fair. Like even when you go to a gym, you have to sign away your rights. Like if you die, they're like, your family can't do anything or whatever. Yeah, they're like, you fucking knew what you're

Unknown Speaker  1:07:31

getting into. Yeah.

Speaker 2  1:07:35

I was only there for 12 hours. And it was more challenging than the summit day of Mount Kilimanjaro. I mean, also, he has to think like he was probably in worse shape when he was doing that. Said he didn't prepare for this. I have the highest respect for the men still out there right now. I was humbled by this event and realize that at 40 I damn well better train for any Bertels physical test going forward. I'm grateful for quick question. Do men just think they can just do everything just out of the box? Could you

Speaker 1  1:08:18

100% makes it sound like he at least he does. Yes. Like, what I mean, like, if I try something, I'm just gonna be good at it right away, right.

Speaker 2  1:08:28

I mean, as a person with ADHD, I feel that way. So I'm not expecting to do a boot camp level thing. Yeah, I

Speaker 1  1:08:40

feel like I have a realistic expectation. Like when we went to crochet class, I was like, I think I'm gonna knock this out of the park. If I had to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, I would know hey, you're not gonna be a prodigy. Exactly. Yeah. Sorry, I

Unknown Speaker  1:08:57

just I'm having some flashbacks to that.

Speaker 2  1:09:04

It's funny, I came across the coupon for like, like, oh, 40% off another Michaels class and was just like, nope. Going into

Unknown Speaker  1:09:12

this.

Speaker 2  1:09:17

So yeah, and then he closes that was saying, I'm grateful. I got these lessons. Grateful to Bedros and his team for pushing me and thankful I got to share with all of you. I'll never regret putting myself out there. Life is about experiences and I'll gladly add this to my list.

Speaker 1  1:09:36

There's calm? Oh, hell yeah.

Speaker 2  1:09:39

And I haven't read all of them. But I read the first one. And I was like, Absolutely. Yes, like, so Jason Cole responded. Sorry, I just can't take this seriously. I'm a Marine Corps veteran. And it sounds more like a lot of dudes taking these courses need to go to therapy and figure out why they they feel so inadequate rather than paying 10k Plus for some bootcamp experience and so why consume? Hell, you could even just enlist in the military, at least in that scenario, and you're actually doing something productive for the nation and getting paid to do it. Okay. And then another guy responded to that also served this is the dumbest fucking shit LMFAO literally fragile masculinity on display. Oh my god, and then Jimmy Rex,

Unknown Speaker  1:10:34

who was the the poster?

Speaker 2  1:10:36

He said he replied to them and said, I gave up 24 hours to do this. You gave up years of your life fighting wars. We had no business being in but yeah, I'm logged on.

Unknown Speaker  1:10:50

In your post, you're talking about how much you

Unknown Speaker  1:10:55

all the people doing this and then you're like

Speaker 2  1:11:00

oh, and then um another person responded in this same thread where he's calling them dumbasses. joining the military is actually

Unknown Speaker  1:11:12

can I say this word? joining the military is actually our word. ID.

Speaker 2  1:11:18

And if you can get physical benefits for a few grand that seems 100 times better. How could you

Unknown Speaker  1:11:27

possibly possibly have your take um

Speaker 2  1:11:36

it's people talking like this on LinkedIn is insane.

Speaker 1  1:11:41

Yeah, like the professional network. Saying I

Speaker 2  1:11:45

use the fucking R word on LinkedIn like LinkedIn is so stupid I can't I can't take any of it seriously like

Speaker 1  1:11:52

yeah, LinkedIn shit. This sounds like a Facebook post not LinkedIn does

Speaker 2  1:11:58

like LinkedIn basically turned into Facebook. It's really stupid. Oh, yeah, I

Unknown Speaker  1:12:03

didn't realize that. Yeah, I

Unknown Speaker  1:12:05

thought it was

Speaker 1  1:12:08

higher class now it's just gone down it's definitely gone down

Unknown Speaker  1:12:13

the tubes

Speaker 2  1:12:17

same thread someone said a Jimmy Rex on that. The veterans on this thread agree. Pay for all the idiotic tough guy want to be bootcamps you like so much you can bring you can brag on Instagram about it. Congratulations, you've checked the dumbass box on your bucket list. You can't can't buy what we veterans got from our military experience for any amount of money. We all know new and accepted the rest when we signed on the dotted line

Unknown Speaker  1:12:49

Wow, that's sorry.

Speaker 1  1:12:54

I was just gonna say the veterans like are not liking this.

Unknown Speaker  1:12:58

Ya know veterans seem pissed.

Unknown Speaker  1:13:01

Your little bitch do the real thing. Go to real war.

Unknown Speaker  1:13:05

kill people better.

Speaker 2  1:13:11

One another comment says if you really want to see what you're made of just enlist in the military. These boot camps prove nothing. But PT Barnum was right. There's a sucker born every minute. Oh damn, that is true. It is. And then someone else Brian s said I needed a good laugh thanks MDK project is a joke run by a clown. Oh, John rural says glad you have a disposable 12 to 15k for 12 hours of hell you probably and probably permanently damage next time the urge to spend some money hits you. I'll take 6k And I promise you won't hurt quits or possible surgery options.

Unknown Speaker  1:13:55

replied to that guy and said You sound broke. But he's

Speaker 2  1:14:02

Oh, I thought this was the same guy that responded but totally different guy came in and said not broke actually smart. Investing $18,000 in a rigorous program. But test physical endurance for an entire weekend or week may seem misguided. It promises an instance intense challenge. Yet it might not offer any tangible benefits beyond physical exhaustion. The idea is to emerge feeling more manly. But one most question one must question if the experience and the cost truly justify the outcome.

Unknown Speaker  1:14:34

I feel like he tried to sound too smart there. Yeah.

Speaker 1  1:14:39

I'm like actually, I'm the intelligent version of what you're trying to say

Speaker 2  1:14:45

like a little redditor coming and lyric like Reddit or LinkedIn hybrid. Oh

Unknown Speaker  1:14:50

my gosh.

Speaker 2  1:14:54

And then someone said wow, thank you for this. I plan on going the summer. I want to test my limits and hopefully not get a physical injury so I can push past everything.

Unknown Speaker  1:15:04

It was sarcasm or real.

Speaker 2  1:15:06

That was real. It was like a younger dude in the picture so I assume it's probably real but so yeah, that was Jimmy Rex's experience and the veterans on LinkedIn trashing geometrics. But yeah, I feel

Unknown Speaker  1:15:23

that episode really tired and

Unknown Speaker  1:15:27

ready for bed.

Unknown Speaker  1:15:29

Too much man or do you I guess

Speaker 1  1:15:32

I kind of want to just sit down and like watch videos from it was seen many but I think it was maybe one that it was either Robert D Roc posted it but it's like this guy running backwards. And there's another guy right in his face. Yeah. Yelling.

Speaker 2  1:15:52

Yeah, I think I think New York also posted something in the discord about it as well. I went to a Twitter post that he links but it wasn't up anymore. So I couldn't see what it was. But yeah, it just looked like I think it was just a bunch of dudes getting yelled at and stuff.

Unknown Speaker  1:16:12

I don't know why but that's just kind of makes me want to like,

Speaker 1  1:16:17

like stuff, some socks and my pants. So it looks like I have a bulge and just walk around being like my opinions are interesting. I'm not going home and a body bag. No bitch.

Unknown Speaker  1:16:37

I'm a beast. Let's go. Oh,

Speaker 1  1:16:39

man, I'll be the first to say I would be in the bitch category and be like, yeah, working out really hard. Like I could have done that on my own. And this

Speaker 2  1:16:53

kind of just reminded me something from middle school. It's not like oh, like, Oh, I'm a beastly man tearing but um, we had to take one PE class during high school, like, not every semester just once. And that's Mississippi for you. I guess.

Speaker 1  1:17:15

A mile in middle school, you'll be good.

Speaker 2  1:17:20

But my teacher would have us do this like ball wrestling. It was just like your partner with someone and you have to wrestle for this ball. Trying to get it. Um, but he would team he would pair me my friend up. And we just had we couldn't stop fucking laughing the entire time. He would get pissed off. Oh, you guys have to go do laps or whatever.

Unknown Speaker  1:17:46

It's like, verbs. Girls.

Speaker 2  1:17:50

We're having fun. Like I don't know. To me that I guess it just because like we're having fun during this thing you like

Unknown Speaker  1:18:01

exercise man thing?

Speaker 1  1:18:05

I just picture him smoking a cigarette the whole time. He's talking. He's like toying with the cigarette like, no.

Unknown Speaker  1:18:13

To take this my way it doesn't gar.

Speaker 2  1:18:18

Yeah, and he's got no he's he would have a little spittin bottle, a little chew and chew and spit. But all right, fat heads. That was a fun episode.

Unknown Speaker  1:18:32

Thank you.

Speaker 1  1:18:35

I guess I've learned that if George ever wants to spend a huge chunk of our money, then I need to say yes. Yeah, just no questions

Speaker 2  1:18:45

asked if he wants to better himself. Let him do it to go. There's no other options. There's not know

Unknown Speaker  1:18:55

if you guys want to see us go through the bootcamp?

Unknown Speaker  1:19:03

$36,000 Yeah, sponsors, man.

Speaker 1  1:19:05

We've got to do like a fucking Mulan type thing. We like dress up as dudes.

Unknown Speaker  1:19:14

And then they get like man crushes on.

Speaker 2  1:19:18

And then we're like, No, I'm a girl. We let her hair down and swing it around. And they're like, oh,

Unknown Speaker  1:19:24

like you a little less now.

Speaker 2  1:19:26

We can't give you an axe. You're a woman.

Speaker 1  1:19:32

That was that was good. Thank you for your reporting. All right,

Speaker 2  1:19:39

we will see you guys next time. But in the meantime,

Speaker 1  1:19:42

party on party on up a mountain on your back. Yeah,

Unknown Speaker  1:19:46

well, we sprayed
